Labeling products is critical to effectively manage substance risk. The HSNO Identification, Emergency Management, and Disposal Regulations 2001, stipulate the required content of labels and the presentation of that information in performance-based terms. Group Standards also set provisions for labelling.
Advice on label compliance
Manufacturers and importers seeking informal advice on whether a label complies with HSNO Regulations or group standard conditionscan request a review from ERMA New Zealand (application form HS-09 [word - 56kb] [pdf - 144kb]). A charge of $100 plus GST will apply.
