Summary of Approvals Documents

ERMA New Zealand has made some changes to the approvals for substances made by way of Transfer Notices published by the New Zealand Gazette Office. These notices detailed the classifications and controls for all substances transferred under the notice. However, since their publication, a number of minor amendments have been made (by section 67A of the HSNO Act) to these approvals.

Section 67A of the HSNO Act allows the Authority to make amendments to existing approvals provided that they are corrections to minor or technical errors or if the alteration is minor in effect.

As it is no longer legally possible to amend Transfer Notices, new Summary of Approvals documents have been compiled to assist users. The Summary of Approvals documents have been produced for all transferred substances and they include the classifications given, applicable controls for each substance and any amendments made after the Transfer Notice was gazetted.. The ERMA New Zealand Register also links to these pages if a search is performed.

Please note, these documents have been produced by ERMA New Zealand as an information resource only and are updated from time to time as necessary. If there is any uncertainty over the legal interpretation of what is required under a Transfer Notice or its related approvals, users are advised to refer to the official version of the Notice published by the New Zealand Gazette Office, as well as any amendments to the approvals made under the HSNO Act by ERMA New Zealand.

Each of the original Transfer Notices has a new Summary of Approvals document.
