In August 2008 ERMA undertook at the request of the Minister for the Environment a public consultation on proposed regulations for prescribing information on segregation and traceability schemes for applications involving genetically modified organisms. Details of the consultation can be found at:

In total 635 submissions were received. A number of the submissions said that they wished for their submission to be heard at the public hearing. Public hearings are only held to hear submissions on applications that have been publicly notified under the provisions of the HSNO Act. There have not been any public hearings relating to this consultation.
