GMF99001 In December 2000 approval was given to field test, in the Bay of Plenty (Rotorua), over a period of twenty years, Pinus radiata plants with genetic modifications to the genes controlling reproductive development. The total duration of this project including a post-trial monitoring phase is twenty two years.
GMF99005 In December 2000 approval was given to field test, in the Bay of Plenty (Rotorua), over a period of nine years, Pinus radiata and Picea abies plants genetically engineered for herbicide resistance. The total duration of this project is eleven years.
