Māori participation in HSNO processes

We encourage iwi/Maori to get involved with HSNO decision-making.

How we can help you participate

We assist Maori in participating in HSNO decision-making, by providing advice, expertise and financial assistance. We aim to build capacity within iwi, hapu and Maori organisations, so they can participate independently in HSNO.

Wananga

We hold regular wananga with iwi/Maori on HSNO issues. These aim to encourage dialogue among iwi, develop matauranga Maori as it relates to HSNO issues, and to inform and assist ERMA New Zealand in taking Maori perspectives into account.

Iwi relationships

We are keen to meet with hapu and/or iwi groups to discuss HSNO issues and ERMA New Zealand's work. If you'd like us to meet with your ropu, give us a call.

Maori National Network

Iwi/Maori can become part of our Maori National Network, which meets annually to discuss and work through a range of issues relevant to HSNO decision-making.
